Hiii!!!

Mais uma vez,  um review, mais uma vez de uma base e mais uma vez da Revolution. Hoje é sobre a Fast Base Stick Foundation.

Este será um review mais curto porque não tenho muito a dizer sobre o produto mas creio ter o suficiente.

Para começar, foi a primeira base que comprei da qual gostei do tom na minha pele. Agora vem a parte má… Pois bem, a base não resultou em mim. Quer dizer, só em certas zonas do meu rosto, pois tenho pele mista, nas zonas normais e zonas secas portou-se bem, nas zonas oleosas, como já era de esperar neste tipo de base, ao fim de algumas horas ficou feia. Obviamente não irei deitar fora pois agora no Inverno e se for para só me apresentar minimamente bem numa manhã ou numa tarde ela até que está boa, ainda que se calhar tenha de retirar os óleos.

A aplicação dela é fácil, é minimamente cremosa, não precisamos de fazer muito esforço. Já ao espalhar é um pouco mais complicada, levamos um pouco mais de tempo ainda que com um pincel de base kabuki denso e, conforme o pincel que tenham, talvez dar uns toques com a esponja e ela fica bonita.

Dá para construir a cobertura. A cobertura é média a alta para mim.

Senti-a também confortável, sem problemas.

Creio que se a vossa pele for normal a seca esta base vai ser boa, mas nunca se esqueçam da hidratação antes da maquilhagem.

A embalagem, para um produto barato, é bonita, linda mesmo.

O preço é bastante bom, 6€, mais cêntimo menos cêntimo.

Encontram-na na Maquibeauty, Primor e Notino - esta é a que recomendo menos só porque, para mim, os portes nunca irão valer a pena vendo a diferença de umas lojas para esta a nível de preço e promoções.

Once again a review, once again of a foundation and once again from Revolution. Today it's all about the Fast Base Stick Foundation.

This one is gonna be a shorter one because I don't have a lot to say about it but I think that's enough. 

To start with, it was the first foundation that I bought that I liked the shade for my skin tone. Now the bad news for me and for the people with oily/combo-oily skin… It didn't work that well. In some áreas of my face it did work but the ones where it didn't were on my T área, after a few hours it was ugly. Obviously that I won't throw it out to the trash bin because in Winter time I can wear it a few hours even if I need to blot my oils.

The application of the foundation is easy, it's creamy, we don't need that effort. When it comes to blend it out it's a Little bit difficult but it's okay, we can do it with a dense kabuki foundation brush and after just use a sponge to give a better effect to it and look prettier.

You can build the coverage. To me it's medium to full coverage. 

I felt it confortable, no problems. 

I believe that if your skin is dry it can be a good option for you, but never forget the hydration.

The packaging, for a cheap product, is really pretty, beautiful, again, you have stick foundations on the market that are more expensive and that have a packaging that is not so pretty, even drugstore ones that are more expensive.

The price is pretty good, something around 6€.

Revolution Conceal & Define Foundation (PT/EN)

Olá a todos!

Hoje trago um review sobre um produto que provavelmente muitos gostariam de saber. Sabem o que é melhor que uma base barata? Que ela resulte convosco.

A (Makeup) Revolution em tempos já teve as suas originais bases mas além de não serem bons, a variedade de tons era quase inexistente, um… dois tons… claros… Mas parece que o último ano, 2018, foi um ‘’boom!’’ para a marca. Além de nos terem trazido paletas cada vez melhores – eram os meus produtos preferidos da marca até há uns meses – também trouxeram a sua gama Conceal & Define com a chegada do seu corretor e, a seguir, pela chegada da sua base, sendo a qual irei falar aqui, mais tarde falarei do corretor.

Para mim comprar bases é um pesadelo, ora testo a cor na loja e a senhora da loja diz que a cor está bem e os espelhos também parecem e senhora aconselhou a fórmula bem como alguns reviews no YouTube, compro a base e acaba por oxidar tanto mas tanto que só para usar uma pequena gota tem de ser bem misturada numa outra base mais clara e gasto metade da outra base mais clara – cuidado com as luzes das lojas de cosméticos e com as fotografias tiradas com o telemóvel. Adiante… 

Por onde começo com esta base?....

Como disse no início, o preço é muito bom para a base que é, acreditem, pelo menos no meu tipo de pele.

Outra coisa muito importante é o facto de, apesar de ser barata, começou, creio, que com uma variedade de 18 tons e tinha 24, na altura em que escrevi este post, pode até nem ter aquele exato tom que vos falha por um bocadinho por agora nas lojas mas  para um produto com este preço, acreditem, existe uma enorme variedade deste tons muito claros, passando por médios e indo até mais escuros, dão uma ‘’chapada na cara’’ de certas marcas caras ou mesmo dentro da mesma categoria ‘’drugstore’’ e que sejam um pouco mais caras e/ou que estejam cá há mais tempo que a Revolution. AGORA TÊM 50 TONS! Applause!!! 
E não, não venham com o facto de uma certa marca de drugstore ter lançado recentemente 50 tons também porque foi recente e leva-se algum tempo a desenvolver este tipo de coisas.

Há quem não goste de bases com o aplicador que esta tem, preferem conta-gotas ou doseador – o dito pump. Eu percebo, a nível profissional é um bocado complicado, não se torna higiénico, mas se for para uso pessoal, se tratarmos bem da pele e não estivermos a tocar com o aplicador numa zona com borbulhas – e aí espalhamos a base até à borbulha – acho que não tem mal nenhum e visto que a gama se chama ‘’define’’ (definir) ela serve também para contornar caso comprem uma base com um tom para fazer a parte do contorno e/ou bronzing e o aplicador desta forma torna a tarefa mais fácil.

A minha pele é mista, ou seja, tem zonas normais, zonas mais secas e zonas mais oleosas e portou-se muito mas mesmo muito bem, apesar de a pele estar um bocado desidratada, usei o corretor da mesma gama e um pó compacto da Catrice e a base aguentou-se muito bem, só consegui ver ao fim de 10h e tirando o facto de a minha testa parecer uma bola de espelhos, ela estava muito bem. Claro, tenho de me assoar e tiro base do nariz, uso óculos e eles mexem com a base, mas tirando isso, bastava-me tirar os excessos de óleos com um lenço ou papelinho e retocar o pó e estava para continuar até à noite.

Uma outra coisa boa é que ela não oxida, o que para mim poderia ter sido uma coisa boa visto que comprei um tom muito claro, o 6.5 e agora comprei a número 7 para misturar e consigo o meu tom.

Não fez com que marcasse mais as linhas de expressão, lá está, tenho zonas onde a pele é normal e um pouco mas seca e o facto de ter posto um creme que não para pele oleosa nessas zonas secas acabou por ajudar. Aliás, a principal razão para uma boa maquilhagem aguentar é a hidratação, portanto já sabem, cremes e séruns adequados e muita água.

Por fim, gosto da embalagem, acho que é muito bonita para lhe tirar fotografias, eu se conseguisse, acreditem, tiraria imensas fotografias bonitas a esta base, bem mais bonita que muitas marcas mais caras.

Podem encontra-la a 10€ em sites como Maquibeauty, Primor, Notino, etc, se bem que estas mencionadas são as mais baratas e conforme aquilo que vos convenha melhor, a mim convém melhor a Maquibeauty e a Primor visto que a partir de 18€/19€ não se pagam portes e têm sempre promoções simpáticas de 3x2 seja na categoria em que uma base se encaixe como em maquilhagem de rosto, bases ou marcas.

Today I bring you a review about a product that you probably have seen opinions about and today I bring you mine. 

(Makeup) Revolution in the beggining had foundations but they were not good and the number of shades was so so so poor, almost didn't exist, maybe 2 light shades? With the concealers it was the same story. But it looks like that 2018 was the ''boom'' year for the brand. They not only brought us better and better palettes - one of my fav parts of the brand - but they also brought the Conceal & Define range when they brought their concealer and after that they brought the foundation and this post, as you can see by the title, is about that Foundation, later I'm gonna talk here about the concealer. 

For me buying foundations is a nightmare, I test the shade in store with the lady that's there and she says that the shade is good and in the mirror it looks good too and she tells me that the formula is good for my skin type as well the reviews that that I see on YouTube, then I buy the foundation and and it oxidizes AF and then to use that shade I need to mix with a lighter shade and I need half of the product that is on the lighter shade bottle… BTW, just be careful with the stores' lights and with your phone camera.

Where can I start?

This foundation, for the price that it is, is really good for my skin type, believe me.

And other importante thing is that, even if it's a cheap product, I believe that they brought it with a variety of 18 shades, by the moment I wrote this post they we could find 24 shades, there's the possibility of not finding your exact shade but you find something that is pretty close to, there's a big variety in light, medium and and dark shades, this brand ''slaps the face'' of some brands that are more expensive and that are older that Revolution. But NOW THERE'S 50 SHADES! Applause!!
And don't come with the thing that they are copying the fact that another drugstore brand also brought 50 shades recently because, as that was recently revealed, these things take a while to make, so it's just a happy coincidence. There's no tea here.

There's people that don't like the kind of applicator that this one brings, they prefer a pumper of dropper one. I get it, profissional it's more complicated because of hygiene issues, but for personal use, if we take care of our skin and if we don't touch with the applicator on the pimple - we put foundation in other places and blend the Foundation to that pimple área - and I think that's plently okay and because this is a product that has ''define'' in the name, so it's a product that you also can use to define your face, making contour/bronzing and this applicator helps to it and makes it easier.

My skin is combination, so there's normal skin areas, dryer ones, more oily ones and it was fine, even having dyhydrated skin, using the concealer of the same range and the Catrice Prime & Fine compact poder it was pretty good, I only started to see how it was after 10h and, besides the fact that my big forehead looked like a disco ball, it looked pretty good. Of course, on some of the areas of my nose it vanished because I needed to clean it and where my vision glasses sit it vanished and looked bad but it's normal, besides that I just needed to use a paper to absorb the oils and retouch with powder.

Another good thing is that on me it didn't oxidize, what for me it could be a good thing while having the fact that the shade 6.5 was a bit light for me and I bought the shade 7 and mixed with the 6.5 I get a really nice shade.

It didn't make my fine lines look worse than they look in reality, there's places where my skin is normal but a little dry and I just need to put a little bit of a moisturizer to ''cancel'' the dryness. And talking about moisturizers, the make up only looks better if we hydrate the skin, so, moisturizers, serums and a lot of water is what we need.

To finish this post, I really like the packaging, it's really pretty to take pictures, if I could I would get so much better pictures with this foundation, it's really pretty, one of the only foundations that you can find that looks pretty on your desk/vanity, way more beautiful than other more expensive ones.
