Makeup Whishes #1 - Revolution, BH Cosmetics & More (PT/EN)

Olá! Mais um post, mais uma nova rúbrica: desejos de maquilhagem.


Para começar, temos Revolution…


Recentemente, a Revolution juntou-se a mais um influencer, a britânica Rachel Leary e, mal se soube do lançamento, já os produtos estavam disponíveis no Beauty Bay e na Maquibeauty.
Ela lançou com a marca - também britânica - duas paletas ''2 em 1'', ou seja, contêm sombras de olhos e produtos em pó para o rosto.

A primeira paleta que também é a mais pequena e com a embalagem num tom coral. Traz 4 sombras shimmer, 5 sombras mate, 1 blush, um pó de contorno, 1 shimmer bronzer e 1 iluminador. Esta chama-se Goddess On-The-Go.

A segunda paleta é maior, tem a embalagem em azul e é também a minha preferida - vá-se lá saber porquê… - é do mesmo género mas com mais sombras e mais pós de rosto. Encontramos 2 tons de contorno, um mais claro e um mais escuro, 1 shimmer bronzer, 3 blushes, dois shimmer e um mate, e 3 iluminadores. No que toca às sombras, são 16 tons, oito mate e oito shimmer. O nome desta paleta é Ultimate Goddess.
A que eu gostaria mais de ter era a Ultimate Goddess.

Revolution, to start with...

Recently, Revolution collabed with one more influencer, Rachel Leary, a british youtuber, and the second after that I knew about this collaboration it was already available on Beauty Bay and Maquibeauty.

She collabed with two ''2 in 1'' palettes, so, both bring shadows and face poder products.
The first palette, that is also the smallest one, has a coral packaging. It brings 4 shimmery shadows, 5 matte shadows, 1 blusher, 1 contour powder, 1 shimmery bronzer and 1 highlighter. This one is Goddess On-The-Go.

The second one is bigger, it has a blue packaging and it's also my fav one - and know one knows why it's my fav, right? - and it's similar to the small one but it has more shadows and more face powders. We find 2 contour shades, one darker than the other one, 1 shimmery bronzer, 3 blushers, two that are shimmery and another one that is matte, and 3 highlighters. When it's about the shadows, we find 16 shades, 8 matte and 8 shimmery. The name of this one is Ultimate Goddess that is the one that I like more.

Continuando com a Revolution, já há imenso tempo que queria experimentar as paletas Re-Loaded, já comprei duas que ainda tenho que experimentar e que irão aparecer um dia aqui no blog mas uma que eu desejava imenso, que já tinha saído mas não estava ainda disponível na Maquibeauty ou na Primor é a Re-Loaded Deep Dive. Mais uma vez, vá-se lá saber o porque razão eu quero esta paleta…
Gostaria da Blue Blood do Jeffree Star mas acho que é muito cara para uma paleta que eu iria usar meia-dúzia de vezes por ano e sinto falta de mais tons de azul nessa paleta, pintei de preto a embalagem na foto e podem ver o porquê de eu dizer isto… (Imagens Jeffree Star Cosmetics Blue Blooded on BeautyLish)

Keeping with Revolution… For a long time that I've been wanting to try Revolution's Re-Loaded range and I recently I bought two of them and they will appear here on the blog as I've been whishing for a long time. At the time that I bought those palettes, this one, Deep Dive, wasn't available yet at Primor or Maquibeaty. Once again, nobody can tell why I want this palette. 
I would like to buy Jeffree Star Blue Blood palette but I think that it's too expensive for the amount of times that I'm gonna use it and I miss some blue shades on that one, so, for that, I painted the packaging in black for you to see better what I mean…

Para continuar, tenho uma paleta de uma paleta mais cara de uma indie brand que eu adorava ter, a Yemoja da OPV Beauty. Sim, a embalagem é um azul acinzentado e contém uma sombra azul mas é um azul usável, é uma mistura de tons quentes com frios, temos neutros, temos vermelho, verde, laranja, um dourado, um rosa duo-crome semelhante ao que encontram na paleta Rose Gold da Huda Beauty…

Now, na indie brand palette that I wanna to buy, OPV Beauty Yemoja palette. Yeah, the packaging is in a grey-ish blue and it has one blue shade but it's a wearable blue shade, the palette brings a mix of warm and cool tones, neutrals, red, green, Orange, gold, a duo-crome pink similar to a shade that you find in Huda Beauty Rose Gold palette.

Por fim, tenho uma paleta da BH Cosmetics em colaboração com a Daisy Marquez. Sim, a embalagem é linda que dói para um produto mais barato, imaginem ter este objeto de decoração e ao mesmo tempo paleta de maquilhagem… Já vi swatches a comparar com a Flamingo da Violet Voss e é muito semelhante.

To end this post, there's a BH Cosmetics palette in collaboration with Daisy Marquez. Yes, it has a really beautiful packaging for a drugstore one, imagine this palette as decoration and at the same time you can use it because it's makeup… I already saw swatches of it comparing to Violet Voss Flamingo palette and they are pretty similar.

ColourPop x Kathleen Lights Dream St. Palette (PT/EN)

Halooooo!

Hoje trago-vos um review que eu queria trazer há muito - aí há uns 3 meses. Pois bem, hoje estou aqui para falar da primeira paleta que a Kathleen Lights - para quem não sabe é uma youtuber americana (creio que com origens cubanas) - com a também americana ColourPop, uma marca de produtos com enorme qualidade para um preço acessível, segundo o que tenho vindo a constar em quase todos os vídeos que vejo onde aparece algum produto desta marca, sendo as paletas uma parte dos produtos mais falados. Falo-vos da paleta Dream St.

Esta paleta é mesmo um sonho (dream). Ela é composta por 6 tons mate (Shooting Star; Magical; Water Bearer; Potion; Spark; Elfish), 5 shimmers (Star Dust; Twinkle; Sweet Dreams; Kaleidoscope; Mermaid Boy) e 1 satin (Moony).

É uma paleta que traz uma mistura de tons frios, neutros e quentes, perfeita para qualquer ocasião do dia, para quem tenha pouca (no meu caso) ou nenhuma experiência com tons mais intensos, hoje começamos com um look neutro, amanhã neutro mas já metemos a Twinkle na pálpebra, depois estamos a usar Mermaid Boy na pálpebra toda tendo a transição e o côncavo neutro, a seguir estamos a utilizar Spark no côncavo e a Twinkle na pálpebra toda e a Water Bearer a intensificar a linha abaixo das pestanas… Podem fazer desde um look super natural e discreto a um ''vim aqui a esta festa para não passar despercebida''. Tenho um amor especial por Water Bearer, Kaleidoscope, Mermaid Boy e Twinkle e a Star Dust também é linda, basicamente eu adoro-amo esta paleta.

Os tons mate são mais cremosos que os shimmers que acabam por ser um pouco mais secos que o habitual do que costumamos encontrar, em geral todas as sombras nem são um pó demasiado seco nem demasiado cremo, existe ali algo intermédio que acaba por ser perfeito, são sombras pigmentadas, lindas. O facto de os shimmers não serem tão cremosos acaba por ser melhor porque muitos de nós aplicamos este tipo de sombras com o dedo, também com o pincel, mas com o dedo obtemos mais pigmentação e com o facto de certos shimmers serem mais cremosos acabam por evidenciar textura, aquela flexibilidade da pálpebra móvel o que fica um pouco estranho e não deixa trabalhar tão bem as sombras e os desta paleta não fazem isso.

Esta paleta, além de ser versátil, é das paletas mais pequenas da minha pequena coleção e das mais fáceis de se usar, ainda há uns dias estava a maquilhar os olhos com uma paleta que foi/vai ser falada aqui no blog e peguei nesta menina à pressa e consegui salvar os olhos. Ela também esfuma que nem um sonho...




Vamos falar de então da parte de a paleta chegar cá a casa.
Isto foi coisa de uma semana antes da Black Friday. Depois fiquei arrependida de não ter comprado mais uns dias depois que eles voltaram com os portes gratuitos novamente. Encomendei no dia 20 de Novembro, foi enviada no dia 21 e chegou no dia 3 de Dezembro, apesar de vir dos EUA chegou mais depressa que uma loja online do Reino Unido que fica, obviamente, mais perto. Foi relativamente rápido visto que foi aquela altura da Black Friday e veio dos EUA.
Veio nesta caixinha tão fofa embrulhada em plástico-bolha.
Honestamente, esta paleta anda a fazer com que eu me aguente a comprar paletas, sejam caras sejam baratas, fico à espera de mais portes internacionais gratuitos da CP, quero mais paletas desta marca, bolas, paletas, experimentar batons, agora os pigmentos em colaboração com a Kathleen Lights...



Vou só chatear-vos um pouquinho mais com informações...
Portanto, eu vi que a CP estava com portes internacionais gratuitos - se pago um produto barato não estou para pagar um preço bem superior ou semelhante ao do produto que pretendo obter. A partir de $30 ($26,53) os portes internacionais são gratuitos e o que é que acontece se o valor da vossa encomenda ultrapassar os €22? Ficam na fofinha da alfândega, vocês pagam taxas e pagam para desalfandegar, o que fica caríssimo, ninguém quer pagar nem ter o trabalho de desalfandegar, certo?
Vou dar um outro exemplo de o que não fazer - pelo que tenho ouvido dizer - quando tiverem os portes grátis internacionais: imaginem que existem duas paletas cujo preço original é $16 - como a Think I Love You e a Double Entendre e no momento em que escrevo isto são estes os preços exatos - ou seja, $32 (€28,30) mas estão ambas em promoção a $12,80 o que dá $23,60 (€20,87). ''Ah e tal, não passa dos €22 e eu paguei apenas €20,87.'', pois, é verdade, não passa, mas como o valor original passava dos €22, vocês lixam-se na mesma. Ou seja, mesmo que o preço total não chegue sequer aos €22 porque os produtos estão em promoção caso queiram aproveitar os portes grátis, pensem sempre como se estivesse tudo com o preço original e não deixem que o original passe dos €22, já que são gratuitos façam imensas encomendas de uma só vez como a youtuber Joana Gentil fez nessa altura.



Esta tem o preço original de $16 (€14,15).

Another day, another review and this one I wanna to bring to you a long time - something like 3 months? Well, today here I am to talk about the first Katlheen Lights' palette collaboration with ColourPop, Dream St. Basically, most of the time that I see any youtuber talking about a ColourPop product they talk good things about it and the eyeshadow palettes are the most talked ones and favorites.

This palette is a ''dream''. It has 6 matte shades (Shooting Star; Magical; Water Bearer; Potion; Spark; Elfish), 5 shimmers (Star Dust; Twinkle; Sweet Dreams; Kaleidoscope; Mermaid Boy) and 1 satin (Moony).

This palette has a mix of cool, neutral and warm shades, it's perfect for any part of the day, any ocasion, for those that have small experience (like me) or no experience with more intense shades, today we start with something simple and neutral, tomorrow we put Twinkle on the lid, then Mermaid Boy as a transition, then Spark on the crease and Twinkle on the lid, after Spark on the crease and Twinkle all over the lid and Water Bearer to intensify on the lower lash line right on the base of the lashes… You can make natural looks or that ''I'm here in this freakin' party to kill it'' kinda look. TI have a special love for Water Bearer, Kaleidoscope, Mermaid Boy and Twinkle and Star Dust is also really pretty, I just love this palette.

The matte shades are creamear than the shimmers that turns out to be more dried than the usual, in general all of the shades are not that creamy and not that dried, it's in between, they're pigmented, are beautiful.The fact that the shimmers are more dried turns out to be better, you still have a beautiful metallic shadow but it doesn't bring you that kind of wrinkles, texture on the lid that was not there before as it happens with other shadows. 

This palette is really versatile, it's one of the smallest palettes that exists on my collection and one of the most easiest to use, a few days ago I was doing my makeup with a palette and it was going wrong and then I just picked this palette and I was done, it did help a loooot! This also blends like a dream...

Vamos falar de então da parte de a paleta chegar cá a casa.

I ordered this palette something like 1 week before Balck Friday, because they had free international shipping. Then I got sad because I didn't take the advantage of the free internation shipping that they did have days after again. I ordered it November 20th, it was shipped November 21st and it came home December 3rd, even coming from the USA, it came earlier than one online store based in the UK that is, obviously, nearest to Portugal than USA. It was surprisely quick coming from the USA and on a Black Friday kinda days. 
It came on this cute box rolled up with bubble plastic.

Honestly, this palette is making me to not buy more cheap palettes and wait until the internation shipping is free again at CP website, I want more palettes from this brand, Holy crap! I want to try the lipsticks, the new loose pigments that they have in collaboration with Kathleen Lights…

Just to bother you a little more with some info...

So, CP was with international free shipping at the time that I ordered this palette - if I pay a little for a product I don't want the shipping to be the same price or a higher price than the product that I bought. To get the international free shipping you need to spend, at least, $30 ($26,53) but then the product get stuck at the costums and what does happen when the order is more than €22? It get stuck at the costums, it get's so freakin' expensive, you pay taxes and pay to pick it up, nobody wants that kind of trouble, right? 

For what I've been earing people saying, here's na exemple: imagine that 2 palettes are, originally, $16 each, like the Think I Love You and Double Entendre, so, $32 (28,30) mas both are on sale for $12,80, so it's $23,60 (€20,87). ''Oh, it's not more than €22 and I only paid €20,87.'' Yeah, it's true, it's not more than €22, but the original value of the palettes is, so you're screwed, no matter what. So even the price in total being less than €22 because the products are on sale in case you are thinking getting them cheaper, think like if the product was not on sale and don't let the original price in total of the product being higher than €22, just do a lot of orders instead of everything on the same order.

Soph x Makeup Revolution Highlighter Palette

Olá a todos!
A Soph (sophdoesnails) é uma youtuber que eu sigo há alguns meses e que fala, maioritariamente, sobre beleza e, principalmente, sobre maquilhagem.

Tal como outros dois youtubers, ela tem uma parceria com a Makeup Revolution, ela faz todos os vídeos no espaço dela e, tendo esta parceria, de vez em quando alguns dos vídeos que ela faz, porque foi convidada a fazê-los, estão disponíveis no canal de YouTube da marca em vez de no canal dela e nos vídeos podem encontrar produtos da Makeup Revolution como da I Heart Makeup e Freedom Pro Artist (marcas que são como uma espécie de “irmãs” tendo a MR como a “irmã” principal).

Como resultado dessa parceria com a marca, surgiu uma colaboração para a criação de produtos, a ideia por ela (cores, etc) e o produto produzido pela Makeup Revolution, sendo esta pequena coleção a Soph x (Soph x Makeup Revolution). Desta colaboração surgiram duas paletas, uma de sombras e uma de iluminadores e é sobre esta última da qual vos irei falar.

Eu andava à procura de iluminadores mas não sabia bem o que eu queria e, quando vocês se estão a “meter” em algo novo, por vezes as vossas necessidades não correspondem a certos tipos de produtos. Eu achava absurdo gastar tanto dinheiro num iluminador (algo que nunca tinha utilizado e que queria experimentar) apenas quando existem paletas e que, se formos a ver, compensam mais porque não estamos a pagar tanto por causa da embalagem.

Adiante… Eu sou uma pessoa que dá muita importância à estética da embalagem, não só ao produto pois, para mim, os produtos de maquilhagem também me servem para decorar, gosto que sejam bonitos – gostava de experimentar a Viper Mascara da MR mas não gosto da embalagem, o que vocês querem? São manias minhas.

Todas as paletas da MR, mesmo boas, não me agradavam por serem pretas e queria algo mais bonito e depois surgiu esta paleta e quando pensei que queria mesmo experimentar a apostar em iluminadores, decidi comprar esta paleta.

Esta paleta é toda num rosa-bege e com as letras em dourado e a tampa é maioritariamente transparente, o que é ótimo, nem todas as paletas parecem mais bonitas transparentes que as que são opacas (como as pretas da MR), mas esta venceu, é ótima porque assim não têm trabalho a abrir a paleta para ver se é a que contém o iluminador que querem usar. Só pela embalagem, nem que seja para decorar e tirar fotos para o Instagram, vale a pela!

Esta paleta contém 8 cores e que são pensadas para todos os tons de pele – ou pelo menos a Soph tentou. Na minha pele, o roxo e o rosa não parecem roxo e rosa, respetivamente, na pele, quanto muito uma ou outra partícula dessas cores, mas nada de mais, a maioria dos tons são perfeitos para tons de pele mais claros – não fosse a Soph das youtubers que eu sigo com a pele mais clara – e penso mesmo que todos os iluminadores – à exceção do cobre – em tons de pele mais escuros não parecerão mais claros, quase como se tivessem posto um pó branco que ilumina, não, penso que vai ser como uma luz clara que a pele estivesse a projetar – não sei se me faço entender. Quanto ao tom mais escuro, é perfeito para peles mais escurase, em mim, nem se nota assim muito que é um iluminador escuro que tenho na pele e a minha pele é um tom que corresponde à maioria das portuguesas, mesmo que seja um pouquinho mais clara ou escura que as outras (algo intermédio) e, certamente, tendo bronzer nas maçãs do rosto o tom escuro desde iluminador acabará por se fundir no bronzer.

Parece glitter, mas os iluminadores não têm nada de glitter, foi mesmo o telemóvel que tirou as fotos assim.


E sabem o que gosto mais neste iluminador mais escuro? É que se tivesse de escolher uma só sombra para os olhos e fazer um look com mais glammour, qual sombra cobre, qual quê, é este iluminador! Para preencher a pálpebra toda com uma sombra cobre e ter um “bam!” por toda a pálpebra, precisaria de usar um pincel achatado – não um pincel qualquer, nada de pincel de esfumar, achatado mesmo – e ir pelo menos duas vezes com o pincel à sombra e meter na pálpebra. Ou seja, se usasse um pincel de esfumar – este é um pincel que deposita menos produto num local apenas – e se o usarem com uma sombra têm resultados fracos e eu uso o meu angular arredondado da Ecotools e com este iluminador, basta tocarem uma vez com o pincel no produto que a pálpebra fica toda preenchida e “bam!”, perfeito, não precisam de mais!

Os tons de cima são cores mais naturais nas peles claras. Os dois tons bege fundem-se mais na pele e são aqueles que se puserem só um pouquinho eles ficam mais subtis mas nota-se que têm a pele iluminada, fica um glow subtil e muito bonito e facilmente conseguem construir a sua intensidade, existem iluminadores subtis que, por mais que se construa, a intensidade não muda, são mais parecidos com um pó de selar com brilho do que com um pó iluminador, estes iluminadores não, nota-se que são mesmo iluminadores.


Com esta paleta conseguem criar um look mais subtil e simples até um look mais “exagerado”, conforme a ocasião e altura do dia.
A duração do produto, mesmo para a treta de uma pele oleosa e com algum acne como a minha, acreditem, o produto dura bem, tanto nos olhos como no rosto e eu cheguei a usá-lo numa maquilhagem por umas 18 horas (maquilhei-me às 06h00 e desmaquilhei-me às 00h00 num dia que fiz uma pequena viagem).


Se tiverem dúvidas sobre que paleta escolher, escolham esta, as Pro Glow e a Cool Glow da MR atraíam-me mas não me sentia confortável com os vermelhos e as cores mais “alternativas” e algumas pareciam escuras para mim, acho que mesmo os iluminadores menos naturais da paleta são mais usáveis no dia a dia e, para primeira paleta de iluminadores mais em conta (a MR tem agora umas novas que rondam os 21€ – o que é ridículo porque se forem do Reino Unido a paleta é 15£, ou seja, 16,97€ e se têm medo de arriscar em tons como as Pro Glow e a Cool Glow.
Por agora, para Portugal, só têm acesso a esta colaboração no site TamBeauty e na Maquillalia (10€).
Quero mesmo comprar a paleta de sombras, é LIN-DA!!

Soph (sophdoesnails) is a youtuber that I follow a few months ago and speaks, mostly, about beauty and, above all, about make-up.

Like two other youtubers, she has a partnership with Makeup Revolution, she does all the videos in her space and, having this partnership, from time to time some of the videos she does, because she was invited to do them, are available on the brand’s YouTube channel instead of her channel and videos can find Makeup Revolution products like I Heart Makeup and Freedom Pro Artist (brands that are sort of like “sisters” with MR as the main “sister” ).


As a result of this partnership with the brand, there was a collaboration for the creation of products, the idea for it (colors, etc) and the product produced by Makeup Revolution, this small collection being Soph x (Soph x Makeup Revolution). From this collaboration came two palettes, one of eyeshadows and one of highlighters and it is about the last one which I will talk about.
P.S .: I have already convinced myself if I would need the palette of eyeshadows or not and I finally realized that yes, I need it and when I have it in a few times I’ll explain why.



I was looking for a highlighter but I was not sure what I wanted and when you are getting into something new, sometimes your needs do not correspond to certain types of products. I thought it was absurd to spend so much money on an highlighter (something that I had never used and wanted to try) only when there are palettes and if we see, they pay off more because we are not paying so much because of the packaging.



Ahead … I am a person who gives a lot of importance to the aesthetics of the packaging, not only to the product because, for me, the make-up products also serve me to decorate, I like them to be beautiful – I would like to try the Viper Mascara da MR mas I do not like the packaging, what do you want? This is my mind.


All the MR palettes, even good, I did not like to be black and wanted something more beautiful and then came this palette and when I thought that I really wanted to try on highlighters, I decided to buy this palette.


This palette is all in a rose-beige and with the letters in gold and the lid is mostly transparent, which is great, not all the palettes look more beautiful transparent than the ones that are opaque (like the black ones from MR), but this one has overcome , is great because they do not have to open the palette to see if it is the one containing the illuminator they want to use. Just for the packaging, even if it is to decorate and take pictures for the Instagram, it’s worth it!


This palette has 8 colors and they are thought for all skin tones – or at least Soph tried. On my skin, purple and pink do not look purple and pink, respectively, on the skin, much like one or another particle of these colors, but nothing too much, most tones are perfect for lighter skin tones – Soph is one of the youtubers I follow with lighter skin – and I even think that all of the highlighters – except for the copper one – in darker skin tones will not appear lighter, almost as if they had put a white powder lighting, no, I think which will be like a clear light that the skin is projecting – I do not know if I understand. As for the darker tone, it is perfect for darker skin tones and, in me, it is not even noticeable that it is a dark highlighter that I have on the skin and my skin is a tone that corresponds to most of the Portuguese, even if it is a little bit clearer or darker than the others (something intermediate) and certainly having bronzed in the cheekbones the dark tone from highlighter will eventually melt into the bronzer.



And you know what I like the most in this darker highlighter? It is that if you had to choose a single eye shadow and make a glamourous… wait, what?! Eyeshadow?! This highlighter is the choice! To fill the entire eyelid with a copper shade and have a “bam!” all over the eyelid, I would need to use a flat brush – not any brush, no a fluffy blending brush, a flat one – and go at least twice with the brush in the pan and put it on the eyelid. So, if I used a blending brush – that is a brush that picks up and put less product in one place only on the eyelid – you get weak results using the eyeshadow with that kind of brush and I use my rounded angle of the Ecotools and with this highlighter, just touch once with the brush on the product that the eyelid is all filled and “bam! “Perfect, do not need more!
Top tones are more natural colors on light skins. The two beige tones fuse more in the skin and are those that put them only a little bit  they are more subtle but it is noticed that you have an highlighted skin, it is a subtle glow and very beautiful and easily manage to build its intensity, there are highlighters subtle ones that, however much they are built, the intensity does not change, they are more like a set powder with brightness than are like an higlighting powder, these highlighters do not, it is noticed that they are trully highlighters.


With this palette they can create a more subtle and simple look until a more “exaggerated” look, according to the occasion and height of the day.
The duration of the product, even for a trick of an oily skin and some kind of acne, as my product, well, well in our eyes as faceless and I got to use it in makeup for about 18 hours (I did my make-up at 6am and I made up at 00h00 on a day that I took a short trip).


If you have any doubts about which palette to choose, choose this one, Pro Glow and Cool Glow from MR would appeal to me but I was not comfortable with the reds and the more “alternative” colors and some looked dark to me, I think even the illuminators less natural palette are more usable day by day and for the first palette of illuminators more in account (MR now has new ones that are around € 21 – which is ridiculous because if they are from the UK the palette is £15,  (€ 16.97) and are afraid to risk in tones like Pro Glow and Cool Glow.

I really want to buy the eyeshadow palette, it’s GOR-GEOUS! E what about you?? What do you think about this (highlighters) palette? What is your opinion about what I said? Would you like to buy it?
